The rain is done, and the cold air is taking over.
After some temperatures in the 60s this week, the National Weather Service says we'll fall through the 40s today with gusty north winds.
It'll be much colder by Friday with a high in the upper 30s. This weekend's morning wind chill values could be in the teens.
Some flurries will be possible Friday, even up to a dusting over the Pennyrile and southwest Indiana.
Temperatures will moderate towards normal for early next week leading up to Christmas. Paducah's historical averages are 46 and 30 for Christmas week.
Small rain chances return to the forecast on Christmas Eve.
