Turning Point Recovery Community Center will host their 2nd Annual Recovery Walk to fight substance abuse disorder on June 10th at Noble Park.

The walk will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the Noble Park Pool and everyone is invited to walk as a way to show support for those in recovery.

Brandon Fitch, Turning Point program director said, “The more things we can do to create awareness while having fun and supporting the recovery community, the better. Turning Point was created to help people in recovery, especially those in early recovery. Events like this help people see that it is possible to have fun without drugs or alcohol and gets them engaged in the recovery community.”

Community leaders and advocates will speak prior to the walk and there will be food, live music, prizes, and children's activities. Several organizations will be there with information on addiction recovery and available resources for those in recovery.

Turning Point is a program of Four Rivers Behavioral Health.
