The basketball coaching carousel continues in our region.

All of the chaos began last month when Murray High announced they parted ways with both of their varsity coaches, Tigers coach Jimmie Holder after one season, Lady Tigers coach Tom Foust after eight seasons.

Not long after that Mayfield Lady Cardinals coach Bradley Nanney announced he was stepping down after nine seasons at the helm.

Then surprisingly and seemingly out of nowhere Paducah Tilghman announced the week before spring break they fired one of the most respected head coaches in the region in Greg Overstreet.

That marked four confirmed head coaching vacancies in less than a month since the conclusion of the basketball season.

So where do those jobs stand now?

Three of those spots are now filled, with only the Tilghman job still open.

Foust was hired at Mayfield, while Murray High promoted assistant Eli Lathram to the head position of the Lady Tigers. On the boy's side at Murray was the hiring of Colin Doss, a former St. Mary standout who makes his return to Kentucky after recently coaching in Florida.
