Music will be publicly performed in Paducah's Symphony Hall for the first time in 26 years when the Paducah Symphony Orchestra celebrates the grand opening of its PSO Academy on Saturday, March 8.
After four years of renovations, the symphony moved its offices into the old Walter Jetton High School auditorium building last July. Since then, even more work has been done on Symphony Hall, where the orchestra performed from 1980 until the late '90s.
The facility also includes lesson studios, classrooms and a music library.
You're invited to be at the grand opening for chamber music, plus dedications and tours. Tickets are still on sale at the PSO Facebook page .
In the future, Symphony Hall will be the home for recitals, choir concerts and other public community events.
The Paducah Symphony Orchestra will continue to use the Carson Center for its featured performances.
