Dale Harrell

LaCenter, KY, Dale E. Harrell, age 71, passed away into his heavenly home surrounded by his family, on April 25, 2025, at Baptist Health of Paducah.

Dale was born on August 13, 1953, to his late parents, Sam and Estelle Smith Harrell in Cairo, Illinois. On June 10, 1972, he married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Crabtree, who was the love of his life. He called her "His lady" and she never missed an opportunity to call him "Her man" in return. They truly painted a picture of true love and a Christ centered marriage.

He was self-employed, owning his own Heating and Air Company for 40 years. He also worked for the Department of Corrections in Illinois for 25 years. But Dales greatest joy and accomplishment was serving the Lord and preaching His Word. He was a member of House of Prayer for many years but would later pastor at Barlow General Baptist and Park Avenue Baptist Church for 6 years. He loved shepherding Gods people and never met a stranger anywhere he went.

Dale loved to listen to gospel music, but following His lady for over 30 years while she and her family sang, would be his favorite past-time. His family was his pride and joy, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by the love of his life of 53 years, Marilyn Harrell of LaCenter, KY; two daughters, Sammy Harrell of LaCenter, KY and Donna Monroe (Jamey) of LaCenter, KY; one brother, Billy Harrell of Cairo, Illinois; one sister, Shirley Harrell of Paducah, KY; four grandchildren, McKenzie Hutchison (Josh), Erika Scott, Hannah Monroe and Bella Monroe; two great-grandchildren, "His Buddy" Ava Hutchison and "Little Little Buddy" Wrenley Hutchison; and several nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy LeFevre; one brother, Sam Harrell; mother-in-law, Evelyn Crabtree (Granny), and his parents.

Visitation service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Morrow Funeral Chapel of LaCenter beginning at 12:00 p.m. until funeral time.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Morrow Funeral Chapel of LaCenter at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ryan Baker and Rev. Billy Dale Crabtree officiating.

Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
