Homeowners can now apply for Paducah's tree voucher program

The Paducah Parks and Recreation Department has begun accepting applications for the city's tree voucher program.

Owners of single-family residential properties within Paducah city limits could be qualified to receive a $250 voucher to purchase shade trees in the next year at a local nursery.

The program is limited to specific trees and sizes. Ornamental trees are not included.

Applications for the tree voucher program will be open through January 9.
