The three people who died after a single-car accident at the Ingram Barge facility on the Mississippi riverfront at Columbus on Saturday night have been identified.

The Hickman County Sheriff's office posted on Monday that the victims were 42-year-old Joshua Watson of Louisville, 38-year-old Shranda Milan of Wingo, and 30-year-old Krista Whitt of Paducah.

Deputies said that Ingram employees heard the collision and called dispatch after finding what they believed to be a car that hit their ramp and went into the river.

A diver with McCracken County Emergency Management dove down to the vehicle and hooked it up to a wrecker to be pulled out. Once the vehicle was out of the water, it was determined that there were three occupants inside.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
