The boys' tourney usually occurs the week after the girls crown a champion, but this year Rupp Arena was already booked by the NCAA for first-round mens games in their own Big Dance.
Western Kentucky's representative is Calloway County, who will see action Wednesday night at 7:30 against Ashland Blazer.
The Lakers (31-3) are ranked 5th in the state by the website MaxPreps, and were ranked 3rd among the Sweet Sixteen teams by Kentucky Sports Radio.
