Hundreds of runners will take to the streets of Paducah on Saturday, May 10 for the 14th annual Iron Mom Paducah Half Marathon, Relay and 5K run.
The event is the signature fundraiser for Family Service Society to provide food, clothing, personal care items, rental and utility assistance, prescription assistance, dental care and eyeglasses to those in crisis situations. Family Service Society has been serving Paducah since 1927.
This year's event will have a new start/finish line. It'll move from the riverfront to Dolly McNutt Plaza. From there it will cover 13 miles of the city.
Along with around 700 runners, the event needs about 200 volunteers for traffic control and other duties along the route.
