An unusual single-vehicle incident on Saturday afternoon in Lyon County caused damage to a boat and a building.

It happened just before 1:30 p.m. in Suwanee. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office said that 54-year-old Chanin M. Hiland of Kuttawa pulled to the side of US 62 because a door on her SUV was not secure. When she got out to reclose the door, the vehicle was not in park and began to roll. As it rolled, it hit a boat on a trailer that was parked nearby.

The report said that Hiland tried to jump back in the moving vehicle to stop it, but could not get back inside, and her lower legs and feet were run over by the truck. The truck continued rolling and came to rest after colliding with the outside wall of the Poplar Creek Lodge. The impact caused what was described as "significant structural damage."

Hiland is said to have refused transport to the hospital.
