According to WKDZ, the Trigg County Sheriff's Department says a vehicle driven by Amanda Zimmerman swerved to avoid a deer which caused the vehicle to leave the roadway, travel down an embankment, and strike a tree.
Zimmerman was taken by ambulance to a waiting helicopter and flown to a Nashville hospital for treatment.
Deputies also said Zimmerman had been involved in some sort of disturbance in Stewart County, Tennessee just before the crash.
