Search warrant leads to drug charges for three in McCracken County

A search warrant for a home in McCracken County uncovered drugs and landed three people in jail.

McCracken County Sheriff's deputies and detectives served the warrant at about 2:30 p.m. Friday on a home on Oaks Road. There were three people in the home at the time, 52-year-old James Abantha, 49-year-old Carol Darnell, and 20-year-old Austin Wallace. During the search, investigators located quantities of methamphetamine, other drugs, and paraphernalia that would suggest trafficking. 

All three were arrested and charged with trafficking in meth and possession of marijuana. 

Abantha was also served with outstanding warrants for parole violation and contempt of court. Wallace also was in violation of his parole. Darnell was additionally charged with hindering apprehension after trying to prevent deputies from serving the outstanding warrants on Abantha and Wallace.
