A small earthquake rattled parts of southeast Missouri early Friday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis, the quake, which measured 2.2 on the Richter Scale, rattled the area just before 4 a.m. on Friday. It was centered near Matthews, Missouri, or about 41 miles south of Cape Girardeau.
A quake typically has to be at 2.5 or above for humans to feel it. So far, there have been no reports of damage.
