The Paducah Police Department will host a prescription drug take back event on April 26.

The Paducah Police Department, in partnership with McCracken County ASAP, will participate in a nationwide initiative to help prevent prescription drug misuse and theft by offering the public a safe and convenient way to dispose of potentially dangerous medications.

Community members are invited to bring their expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs — pills and patches only — for safe disposal on Saturday, April 26, between 1 and 4 pm at Brockenborough Rotary Health Park, located at 421 N. 13th Street in  Paducah. Liquids, needles, and sharps will not be accepted.

The event will take place during the Rotary Club of Paducah’s third annual Park-A-Palooza event, a free family event with games, health screenings, food, and more.

The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.
