Lifeline Recovery Center will soon build a new women's campus to battle addiction in McCracken County and western Kentucky.

Five hundred people heard the news at the center's annual banquet celebrating the 20th year of the organization that previously announced a new men's campus two years ago.

The new center will sit on 45 acres on Old Highway 60 adjacent to Barkley Field.

The $13 million campaign will cover $7 million for the purchase of the already-outfitted men’s 45-acre campus in Ballard County and purchase and construction of the new women’s campus, as well as $3 million to grow the staff and $3 million for an endowment for financial sustainability.

The campaign began in 2023 and organizers said $11 million has already been raised. Plans are for the fundraising to reach its goal by 2026.

Lifeline Recovery Center describes itself as a Christ-centered recovery program for those dealing with life-controlling addictions. The program is credited with serving more than 2000 people since 2004.
