Two people were removed after allegedly being squatters in a Mayfield home where they used illegal drugs.

The Mayfield Police Department said they were told a man and woman were trespassing in a home. They arrived to find 42-year-old Jeffrey King and 31-year-old Jodi Compau inside.

During a sweep to see if anyone else was in the home, officers found evidence of illegal drugs.

King was arrested on charges including burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.

Compau was charged with burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Both King and Compau were turned over to the Graves County Jail, then King was lodged in Calloway County while Compau was lodged in Marshall County.
