A call to help a person stranded on I-24 in McCracken County on Saturday left two people facing charges.

Authorities responded to I-24 after receiving a call from 22-year-old Aaliyah Jones of Ledbetter, who reported she was stranded with a flat tire.

Jones was reportedly found to have collided with the guard rail, extensively damaging her vehicle. Soon after, she was allegedly found to be under the influence.

In addition, deputies said a search uncovered a large quantity of what's thought to be Alprazolam and some marijuana.

The passenger, 27-year-old Sean Conger of Paducah, was also reportedly found to be under the influence and arrested for public intoxication.

Jones was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of an unspecified drug, trafficking in a controlled substance, promoting contraband, and more.
