Greyhound Bus Lines will restart service in Paducah just days after a decision to halt it.

An investigation by WKMS found that the carrier had decided to stop serving Paducah with no announcement to its contractors or customers.

Brian Mannon who owns M&M Transportation, the company that sold tickets and operated the Greyhound stop on the Southside told WKMS, “I've not heard from anyone about if this is temporary or they’re restructuring or if it's permanent or whatever, but I'm under contract just to sell tickets for them and they haven't told me anything.”

Now, after questions and inquiries from customers along with media outlets across western Kentucky, Greyhound spokesman Mike Ogulnick told West Kentucky Star via email, "We did stop service to Paducah, but I've just learned that service will be reinstated. As soon as I know when I'll let you know. Likely a week or so."

That's good news for community leaders and customers alike.

We will continue to follow this story and hope to find out when the service will be restarted very soon.
