On Thursday night, emergency responders in Crittenden County were called out for a commercial vehicle that had driven off into flood waters on KY 365 at the Tradewater River.
Crittenden County Emergency Management posted that the driver had driven around two barricades and past a ‘Water Over Road’ sign and into the water from the Union County side of the road closure.
By the time emergency crews arrived at 11 p.m., the driver had reached dry ground and was safe. The truck was recovered by wrecker crews that were on scene until approximately 4 a.m.
Responders repeated that it is not safe to ignore signs and enter flood waters.
