On Tuesday, the Paducah Police Department received a hit through their Flock Camera Safety System alerting them that a vehicle associated with a wanted individual was passing through the city.
The Flock system is a license plate recognition tool that can capture vehicle images and license plate data, then send alerts to law enforcement when a vehicle of interest is detected
Officers found the vehicle in the 3200 block of Irvin Cobb Drive.
They identified the driver as Allen R. Stephens and confirmed he had an active arrest warrant.
A search of the vehicle located marijuana, a plastic bag containing methamphetamine, used syringes, and a handgun.
Officers determined that Stephens was a convicted felon stemming a previous felony conviction making it illegal to possess a firearm.
Stephens was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
