Chance for strong storms in Easter weekend forecast

The National Weather Service in Paduah is watching a chance for severe storms to be a part of our Easter weekend.

Warmer temperatures return late in the week, into the 70s Thursday and some 80s on Friday. They'll be accompanied by some light showers into Thursday.

Unsettled conditions could bring heavy rain and strong to severe storms starting Friday night through Sunday night.

Rain may exceed two inches in portions of the region by Monday, mostly likely in southeast Missouri and southern Illinois.
