Beginning Monday, Friedman Lane will be closed for the replacement of a deteriorated storm pipe.
Contractors will replace 256 linear feet of pipe with a 48-inch diameter concrete pipe. The work also involves the reconstruction of three concrete structures.
The work is expected to take approximately ten days to complete.
The closure begins at the intersection with US 60 and ends at Paducah Fire Station #3. During this project, turning lanes on US 60 will be blocked to traffic.
The closure does not affect access to businesses along US 60. All businesses have alternate driveways for access.
The project was originally scheduled to begin in early April but was postponed due to heavy rain.
