During his weekly Team Kentucky update Thursday, Governor Andy Beshear reported there have thankfully been no fatalities thus far due to the severe weather.
The governor added some tornadoes did touch down Wednesday night and have damaged homes and businesses.
He urged Kentuckians in the coming days to use caution on the roads and be aware of possible flash and widespread flooding in western Kentucky.
Beshear also said emergency management and swift water teams are activated and will be prepared to assist over the next several days along with the Kentucky National Guard.
