A west Tennessee teen has passed away after suffering a heat stroke at football practice earlier this month.

The family of 16-year-old Joshua Henderson has confirmed on their Gofundme page that the teen passed away Saturday, July 26th, at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis.

They report that he suffered complications of organ failure caused by a severe heat stroke.

Henderson suffered the heat stroke on Monday, July 6th, collapsing during football practice at Bolton High School, in rural Shelby County near Memphis.

He was rushed to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, where he remained until his death on Saturday.
