The National Weather Service reports that two tornadoes caused damage in Jackson County on Sunday evening.
According to the damage reports, a brief EF1 tornado at 6:46 p.m. caused damage in Grand Tower, including minor structural damage to roofs and awnings, as well as a few uprooted trees.
They said it was on the ground for one minute and covered a path of a tenth of a mile. It had peak winds of 90 miles per hour.
The second tornado, an EF0, moved across Reed Station Road northeast of Carbondale. It also lasted for one minute and covered a quarter mile.
A wooden fence was damaged and several tree trunks were snapped at about 50 feet above the ground.
The National Weather Service previously reported three other brief tornadoes caused damage in parts of southeast Missouri on the same evening.
No injuries were reported in any of the storms.
