Victim of Paducah shooting dies; charge amended to murder for shooter

Paducah Police say that the victim of a Sunday night shooting has died.

Investigators said 44-year-old Ben Hall of Paducah died Monday night at an out-of-state hospital due to wounds suffered in the shooting in the area of North 8th and Campbell Streets. 

Based on the new developments, charges against 21-year-old Dorian Lewis of Paducah have been amended from assault to murder.

A Paducah man was arrested following a shooting Sunday night which left a man in critical condition.

Paducah police responded to the shooting report in the area of North 8th Street and Campbell Street, where a man was found in the street shot twice in the upper torso.

Detectives identified the shooter as 21-year-old Dorian Lewis, who was charged with first degree assault.

The victim, who has not been identified, is being treated at an out-of-state hospital.
