The traffic signal in downtown Clinton will be placed in red flashing mode starting on Monday, creating a temporary four-way stop.
It's part of a 90-day study by Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to determine if a permanent conversion to a four-way stop would improve traffic flow.
Traffic engineers will monitor the intersection at various times. At the end of the 90 days, engineers will evaluate findings and determine if the signal should be removed.
