A man was arrested early Friday morning in Marshall County.

Around 6 am, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office received a call of a man covered in mud standing in the roadway on Moors Camp Highway.

The man said he had gotten his rental car stuck, however deputies learned the car was stolen and the man was not who he said he was initally.

Around 9 am, deputies went to a Daniels Druve residence to arrest 30-year-old Alex Nelson of an unknown address.  Nelson tried to resist arrest and fled on foot.  He was apprehended a short time later.

It was learned the vehicle was stolen out of Lexington. Nelson is charged with fleeing and evading police on foot, resisting arrest, receiving stolen property $10,000 or more and disorderly conduct.
