Two injured in single vehicle crash in Graves County

Two Mayfield men were injured in a single vehicle crash in Graves County Tuesday night.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene around 6:20 pm on Old Dukedom Rd. near KY1748E.

The investigation determined the driver, 20-year-old Yadriel Vargas-Aviles of Mayfield was westbound on Old Dukedom Rd. traveling towards KY1748E.

Vargas-Aviles swerved off the roadway into a ditch area, overcorrected, and subsequently struck a tree. 

Both Vargas-Aviles and a passenger, 20-year-old Dustin E. Willits of Mayfield sustained injuries.

Vargas-Aviles was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center and Willits was transported to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah for treatment .
