Murray man jailed on meth charge

A traffic stop in Calloway County early Sunday morning sent a Murray man to jail on drug charges.

The sheriff's office said they stopped a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Van D. Lawson at around 2 a.m. on South 4th Street.

A search reportedly uncovered meth on Lawson, leading to meth and paraphernalia possession charges.

Lawson was taken to the Calloway County Jail.
