Three injured in Calloway County truck crash, fire

Three people were injured in a single-vehicle crash and fire in Calloway County on Friday.

Calloway County Fire-Rescue were dispatched to the 2800 block of Midway Road where a vehicle was reported to be on fire.

They found the vehicle to be a large U-Haul box truck that had left the roadway in a curve and struck a tree head-on. 

Firefighters put out the fire located in the engine area and the cab of the truck from the engine being pushed into the cab.

All three occupants were out of the truck when emergency crews arrived. Air EVAC transported one patient to an out-of-state hospital, and two patients were treated and released at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
