Hickman County authorities have identified the truck and driver that left the scene of a crash on KY 58 in Clinton Tuesday night.

The crash was a hit-and-run that happened at about 11 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses said a semi hit a utility pole. The pole was snapped and that brought wires down. The truck did not stop.

Now, the Hickman County Sheriff's Office said the driver of the truck has been identified as Scott Barnes of Mississippi. Barnes will face charges of leaving the scene of a crash, traveling the wrong way on a one-way street, and criminal mischief.

The roadway had to be shut down for about 12 hours to facilitate the cleanup.
