Suspect arrested in 2024 Possum Trot murder case

A suspect was arrested in Bowling Green on Friday in connection with a 2024 murder investigation in Possum Trot.

Kentucky State Police announced Friday that 39-year-old Hailey Nelson of Bowling Green was arrested on a Marshall County indictment accusing her of the death of 44-year- old Jesse Moore.

Moore's car was found abandoned in Land Between the Lakes by U.S. Forestry agents in June of 2024.  When a welfae check was performed, Moore was found dead at his home from an apparent gunshot wound.

Nelson is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail on a $1 million cash bond. She is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence. 

Kentucky State Police at Mayfield said the investigaation is ongoing and no further details are being released.
