KY 286 reopened as storm cleanup continues in Ballard County

UPDATE:  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is reporting that KY 286/Wickliffe Road in Ballard County, near the community of Gage, has reopened.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports that KY 286 in Ballard County remains blocked near the Gage community as a local utility crew works to restore downed power poles and lines since last night's severe weather. 

KY 286 is closed to through traffic from KY 121 at Wickliffe to McKendree Church Road in McCracken County.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area to expedite response efforts.

Overall, as of 2 p.m. Thursday, Ballard County still had more than 200 JPEC cutomers without power.
