Section of North Friendship Road to close May 30 until late fall

A section of McCracken County's North Friendship Road will close beginning Tuesday, May 30 and remain closed until late fall while the roadway is completely rebuilt with a realignment of dangerous curves and other improvements.

The closure will mean the loss of a major route for through traffic between US 45 and US 62.

Lakeview Drive will close at Magnolia Lane, while Old Friendship Road and Seneca Lane will close at the Old Friendship Road construction corridor.

Businesses and property owners will still have access at each end of the project area.

This is phase one of a $6.3 million road project to be completed by November 2024. Other improvements will include a multi-use trail and a rebuilt connection to Lone Oak Road.
