Paducah man charged with battery in Metropolis

A Paducah man was charged in early September after Metropolis authorities said he assaulted his girlfriend.

Police responded to a home in the 1600 block of North Avenue on September 2, where officers said 24-year-old Christopher G. Moore had kicked in the door, then struck and choked her.

The police department said Moore had also taken her cell phone.

Moore was charged with aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property.
