The City of Paducah announced more plans to celebrate Noble Park’s 100th anniversary, including planting 100 new trees in the park.

The Noble Park 100 initiative plans to recognize the park’s history and celebrate the memories created in the park since 1926.

Director of Paducah Parks and Recreation Amie Clark said they'll take the opportunity to introduce younger trees and to expand shaded areas in the park with a wider variety of trees.

Individuals, businesses, and organizations can sponsor trees that will be planted. For $200 per tree, sponsors will receive signage recognizing their contribution to the project. Trees will be planted in two groups, spring and fall.

To become a sponsor, contact the Parks Department by calling 270-444-1331 or click here .
