A drug trafficking arrest was made on Monday in Trigg County as a result of a traffic stop.
The stop happened on Monday night near US 68 and Main Street in Cadiz. Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a motorcycle driven by a man and his female passenger. A records check found that the man, from Elkton, was wanted on felony charges out of Todd County. He was arrested and searched. Deputies reportedly located methamphetamine, a handgun, and other items. Their investigation indicated that the man had brought the meth into Trigg County to sell.
The man was charged with enhanced trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and a host of traffic violations, including no headlights or taillights lit no registration and no insurance.
The female passenger reportedly had marijuana on her person. She was cited and released.
