New scam reported in Graves County

The Graves County Sheriff's Office reported a new scam in the area on Thursday.

The Sheriff's Office said a man is calling area residents in Graves County stating that he works for the Graves County Sheriff's Office and that his name is Ryan Davenport. 

They said he goes on to say there is a warrant for their arrest and asking that money be sent to prevent the arrest. 

The Sheriff's Office says this is a scam and should anyone recieve one of those calls to hang up immediately.
