KYTC announced that for safety, US 60 in Crittenenden County is closed as of 7:30 pm.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON:
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is on the scene monitoring rising water levels along US 60 in Crittenden County, at the Tradewater River bridge near the Union County line.
Floodwaters are rising along U.S. 60 near the Crittenden-Union County Line. Water is over the roadway with traffic restricted to one lane. KYTC personnel are flagging traffic. (See video on KYTC Facebook page .)
KY 365, which normally serves as a detour, is now closed due to high water. U.S. 60 is also expected to close sometime this afternoon.
KYTC crews will remain on-site today for as long as it is safe to do so and will monitor water levels and road conditions.
Motorists who live, work, or plan to travel in this area are encouraged to plan ahead for the anticipated closure, and the significant detours involved:
- Marion to Morganfield: normal route 29 miles / 36 minutes; detour 98 miles / 1 hour 52 minutes
- Marion to Sturgis: normal route 19 miles / 25 minutes; detour 101 miles / 1 hour 57 minutes
Commuters may want to consider staying with family or friends closer to their workplace.
