An Almo man was arrested in Calloway County on Thursday for the 38th time for various offenses since 2001. This time after leading police on a pursuit.
The Calloway County Sheriff's Office said deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant in Dexter.
During the attempt, a vehicle fled the area at a high rate of speed, prompting a pursuit that extended several miles. As the suspect vehicle neared Almo, a deputy executed a PIT maneuver, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and become disabled in a ditch.
The driver was identified as 42-year-old Billy K. Reed, who was taken into custody without further incident.
Reed was charged with fleeing police, possession of a controlled substance, wanton endangerment, operating on a suspended license, failure to maintain insurance and various traffic offenses.
