Murray man jailed on a drug charge following traffic stop

A Murray man was jailed on a drug charge after a traffic stop on Thursday.

Calloway County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation along US 641 North, just after 11:00 a.m. During the stop, deputies allegedly uncovered methamphetamine in the possession of the driver, 33-year-old Omero Torres of Murray. 

Torres was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine. He was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
