Murray man facing felony gun, drug charges

A Murray man is facing felony charges after police found drugs and a gun in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

Just after midnight on Thursday, Calloway County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle along Irvin Cobb Road. The driver, 27-year-old Bryce C. Stone, was reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as a handgun.

Stone was within his rights to own the gun, but investigators said that the weapon increased the drug charges to a higher felony level.

Stone was arrested and charged with felony possession of meth and marijuana, plus traffic violations.
