Murray man accused of stealing from individuals he worked for

A Murray man is accused of taking money and other items from individuals he was working for.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, 43-year-old John D. Waynick III of Murray was working at a residence when an investigation suggested he was deceiving the homeowners and taking their money. Detectives also said Waynick may have taken prescription medication, as well.

Waynick was arrested Tuesday and charged with theft by deception and theft of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
