Multiple injuries in head-on crash in Livingston County

A two-vehicle head-on crash resulted in several serious injuries along US 60 in Livingston County on Tuesday afternoon.

The Livingston County Sheriff's office said the crash happened just before 2:30 p.m., east of Ledbetter on Calendar Flats. Photos posted by witnesses indicated that at least one of the vehicles caught fire.

JP Roberts Traffic posted that multiple AirEvac helicopters and ambulances transported at least four injured victims from the scene.

US 60 was reopened to traffic four hours after the collision.

There has been no word on the condition of those involved or what may have caused the crash that is still under investigation.

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Ledbetter hosted a prayer meeting Tuesday night to lift up those injured and their families.
