Benton man arrested after alleged theft of a crossbow

A Benton man was arrested after the alleged theft of a crossbow.

Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies were called by the staff at Kentucky Lake Outdoors after a reported theft. The item taken was said to be a crossbow valued at more than $2,000.

The investigation led them to 44-year-old Lance Wagers of Benton. When deputies went to Wagers’ home, they reportedly located the item.

Wagers was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking under $10,000.
