A McCracken County man is facing drug and other charges after a traffic accident Monday night.

The McCracken County Sheriff's deputies responded to a collision on Clarks River Round around 9:40 pm.

Deputies said a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Wesley Almon of McCracken County was turning into a convenience store when it was struck by another vehicle driven by 47-year-old Justin Peck.

Police said Peck was driving a black truck without its headlights turned on, which prevented Almon from seeing the approaching vehicle.

Deputies said Peck was operating his vehicle under the influence of intoxicating substances, and they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on him during the investigation.

Almon and Peck were both transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

Peck's charges include criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and possession of marijuana.
