Mayfield men arrested on drug charges after crash

Two Mayfield men were arrested on drug charges Saturday after a traffic crash.

Mayfield Police responded to a crash along US 45 at Fowler Road. Officers said that while talking to the driver of one of the vehicles, 21-year-old Cody Wilson of Mayfield, they reportedly caught the scent of marijuana. Police said they also smelled it while talking to the passenger in Wilson’s vehicle, 21-year-old Gaige Tucker of Mayfield.

A search of the vehicle is said to have uncovered open alcohol containers, marijuana, and a firearm. Wilson and Tucker were both arrested.

Wilson was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and having an open alcohol container in the vehicle. Tucker was charged with firearm-enhanced possession of marijuana.
