Residents in Marshall County have voiced concern to the Marshall Fiscal Court about what they say is a significant amount of trash on I-69 between the Benton and Draffenville exits.
According to a response by the court in a Facebook post, the interstate is maintained by the state, and the county cannot perform maintenance or provide trash collection on any state roadways.
The court posted that Deputy Judge Andy Pagel has reached out to the state and will be working to ensure the issue receives attention as soon as possible.
