Madisonville Police apprehend escapee from Hopkins County Detention Center 

The Madisonville Police Department located and apprehended 41-year-old Charles A. Woodward early in the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 30. That's according to Kentucky State Police Post 2 at Madisonville. He was charged with Escape-2nd Degree and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center. 

The initial investigation said that Woodward, of Madisonville, escaped custody from a work release program at Madisonville Tire and Retreading. 

Woodward was serving a sentence for two counts of Burglary and three counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking.
